Bache-Gabrielsen is a cognac house founded in 1905 by Norwegian Thomas Bache-Gabrielsen in Cognac, France. Initially planning to take over his father’s wine and spirits business in Norway, Thomas instead partnered with Peter Anton Rustad to acquire A. Edmond Dupuy, a house established in 1852. This led to the creation of Rustad & Bache-Gabrielsen. In 1906, Thomas married Odette Villard and settled in Cognac, where his descendants continued the family business.

Remaining family-owned, Bache-Gabrielsen saw leadership pass through generations. René Bache-Gabrielsen took over in 1942, followed by Christian in 1985, and later Hervé in 2009. The brand is headquartered in Cognac at 5 Rue Louis Dominique, near Place François 1er. It produces a variety of cognacs, including classic and innovative editions. In 2016, it introduced "American Oak," the first cognac aged in American oak barrels.

The product range includes "Icons," "(R)evolutions," "Limited Editions," "Vintages," and "Exclusives," along with Pineau des Charentes. Crafted without additives and chill filtration, the cognacs maintain natural character and complexity.
