The year 2001 marked the beginning of the new millenium by starting on a Monday, like the beginning of a new era. In our vineyards, this new millenium delivered an excellent first vintage. The winter was cold and rainy and the summer scorching with cold temperatures at night. These climatological conditions allowed an optimal ripening of the grapes, which developed rich and complex aromas and retained their acidity.
TASTING NOTES:
Nice spicy notes underline a supple finish of hazelnuts and bay leaves.
On the palate it is an explosion of aromas, roasted coffee beans accompany the notes of nuts.
These 21 years of aging have brought a deep aromatic richness.
