Hennessy VSOP is a reliable pick for the price, especially if you want something balanced and not too sharp. The flavor isn't complicated, but it gives you exactly what you'd expect from a solid VSOP. Easy to compare against others in the same range, and honestly, worth every dollar when bought at retail.

Aroma

I get vanilla right away, with a bit of oak in the background. It's not super fruity, more on the classic side. The nose is pleasant and clear, no surprises or odd notes.

Taste

Mostly vanilla and oak for me. Smooth enough, but I wish there was more dried fruit or some orange to liven it up. Still, it's well-made and doesn't taste cheap.

Finish

Finish is medium length. Slight warmth from the oak, but it fades without any harshness. Not super memorable, but nothing bad either.
