Courvoisier is a renowned French cognac house with a rich history spanning over two centuries. Its origins trace back to the early 19th century when Emmanuel Courvoisier and Louis Gallois established a wine and spirits business in the Parisian suburb of Bercy. In 1811, their warehouses were reportedly visited by Napoleon Bonaparte, who, according to legend, was so impressed by the quality of their cognac that he took several barrels with him into exile on Saint Helena. This association led to Courvoisier being dubbed "The Cognac of Napoleon."

In 1828, Emmanuel's son, Félix Courvoisier, along with Jules Gallois, relocated the business to Jarnac in the Cognac region, focusing exclusively on cognac production. The brand's reputation for excellence was further solidified in 1869 when Napoleon III granted Courvoisier the title of "Official Supplier to the Imperial Court."

Throughout its history, Courvoisier has been at the forefront of innovation and quality. In 1909, the company was acquired by the English Simon family, who introduced the silhouette of Napoleon as the brand's logo and developed the iconic "Josephine" bottle, named after Napoleon's first wife. The 1980s saw collaborations with renowned Art Deco designer Erté, resulting in limited edition bottles containing rare Grande Champagne cognac.

VS (Very Special): A blend of Fins Bois and Petite Champagne eaux-de-vie, aged between 4 and 7 years, known for its harmonious balance of floral and fruity notes.

VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale): Comprising eaux-de-vie from Grande and Petite Champagne, aged between 6 and 10 years, offering a richer, more complex profile with hints of vanilla and dried fruit.

XO (Extra Old): A luxurious blend aged between 20 and 35 years, featuring eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, and Borderies, delivering a deep, intricate flavor with notes of candied fruit and spice.
