Ragnaud Sabourin Cognac is a distinguished family-owned estate with a rich history that dates back to 1850. Located in the heart of the Grande Champagne region—considered the premier cru of Cognac—the house has built a reputation for producing some of the finest single-estate cognacs in the region. The origins of the house begin with Gaston Briand and later continued through generations of the Ragnaud and Sabourin families, who combined their names to form the brand we know today.

The Ragnaud Sabourin estate encompasses approximately 35 hectares of vineyards, all situated within the Grande Champagne cru. This area is celebrated for its chalky soil and ideal microclimate, which contribute to the development of eaux-de-vie with remarkable finesse and aging potential. What makes this house even more unique is its use of all eight of the permitted grape varieties for Cognac production—including rare types like Jurançon, Blanc Ramé, Bouilleaux, Balzac Blanc, and Chalosse—alongside the traditional Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, and Colombard.

This commitment to diversity and heritage is also reflected in their production methods. Ragnaud Sabourin relies on natural fermentation and traditional distillation using copper pot stills. Their aging process is meticulous, utilizing French oak barrels to allow the spirit to develop its character naturally over time. Importantly, their cognacs are produced without any artificial coloring, sweeteners, or chill filtration, preserving the purity and authenticity of their expressions.

Among their most respected releases are the "Florilège," known for its refined and floral complexity, and the "Paradis," which blends exceptionally old eaux-de-vie aged between 40 and 100 years. These offerings reflect the estate’s deep commitment to excellence and tradition.
