Rich, full-bodied and quite complex, with a nice mix of earthy, nutty and spicy notes. The truffle and toasted hazelnut give it a lot of character, while honey and cinnamon make the whole thing feel warmer and more rounded. Everything comes together really well, especially in the finish.
Aroma
Truffle stands out straight away, followed by a rich floral note. There’s also some toasted hazelnut underneath, which gives the nose a deeper, slightly earthy feel.
Taste
Full and rich, with toasted hazelnut, subtle honey and cinnamon coming through clearly. The nuttiness gives it some depth, while the honey softens the warmer spice. This is also where I really like the richer character coming from the Grande Champagne side of the blend.
Finish
Long and powerful, with honey and cinnamon staying around for quite a while. Warm, spicy and nicely balanced all the way through.
