ABK6 Cognac

ABK6 Cognac, founded in 2005 by Francis Abécassis, is a distinguished producer situated in the heart of France's Cognac region. The brand's name, ABK6, is a phonetic representation of the family surname, symbolizing a contemporary approach to cognac-making while honoring deep-rooted traditions. The estate spans approximately 370 hectares across four vineyards located in the Fins Bois, Petite Champagne, and Grande Champagne crus. This extensive vineyard ownership positions ABK6 as one of the largest single estate cognac producers, emphasizing their commitment to overseeing every stage of production – from vine cultivation to bottling – on-site.

The estate's headquarters, the Domaine de Chez Maillard, is nestled within 90 hectares of vineyards on a chalky hilltop, providing an ideal terroir for cultivating Ugni Blanc grapes. This location is integral to the production process, allowing for meticulous control over grape quality and the subsequent distillation and aging processes. ABK6 prides itself on producing "Single Estate Cognac," ensuring that each bottle reflects the unique characteristics of its terroir.

Under the umbrella of Domaines Francis Abécassis, ABK6 operates alongside other brands such as Leyrat and Réviseur. Each brand maintains a distinct identity, yet all share the common philosophy of single estate production, highlighting the Abécassis family's dedication to quality and authenticity.

ABK6 has garnered international recognition for its innovative approach and exceptional quality. The brand offers a diverse range of expressions, including VS, VSOP, XO, and limited editions like the Lunar New Year releases. Notably, in 2024, ABK6 introduced a White Cognac exclusively for the U.S. market, crafted with floral eaux-de-vie and designed for long drinks, reflecting the brand's adaptability and forward-thinking ethos.

ABK6 Cognac continues to operate successfully, expanding its global presence and upholding its reputation for producing high-quality, single estate cognacs that marry tradition with modernity.
