Rémy Couillebaud Cognac is a family-run estate with a rich history dating back to the mid-19th century. The Couillebaud family has been cultivating vineyards for generations, and in 1867, they expanded their operations by acquiring a still, marking the beginning of their distillation activities.
In 1969, the family began direct sales of their Cognac and Pineau des Charentes, establishing a direct connection with consumers and showcasing their commitment to quality.
Today, the estate spans 33 hectares of vineyards, all of which are cultivated by the family. Their cognacs are crafted exclusively from grapes harvested, distilled, and aged on the property, ensuring a unique and consistent flavor profile that reflects the Fins Bois terroir.
The Couillebaud family also produces small batches of vintage cognacs, with barrels sealed by the National Bureau of Cognac after 20 years of aging, offering connoisseurs a rare and refined tasting experience.
Currently, the estate is under the stewardship of the sixth generation of the Couillebaud family, who continue to uphold the traditions and values established by their ancestors, ensuring that each bottle of Rémy Couillebaud Cognac embodies the dedication and passion that have defined the brand for over a century.
