Raymond Bossis Cognac is a family-owned estate with a rich history dating back to 1924. Located in the commune of Saint-Bonnet-sur-Gironde, within the Fins Bois cru of the Cognac region, the estate was originally established by Auguste Bossis and his wife Marie, who began cultivating vineyards on the property and laid the foundation for what would become a respected Cognac house.
In 1957, their son Raymond Bossis took over the estate. Under his guidance, the vineyard area expanded significantly, and production methods were refined to focus on quality and tradition. The estate began distilling its own Cognac in 1965, and by 1970, the brand was bottling under its own name, marking a new era of independence and craftsmanship.
The estate covers approximately 54 hectares of vineyards. Sustainability plays a key role in their approach—environmentally conscious viticulture is practiced to preserve the biodiversity of the land. This natural approach ensures that each bottle of Raymond Bossis Cognac reflects the unique character of the Fins Bois terroir, known for producing round, fruity, and well-balanced eaux-de-vie.
In celebration of its 100-year anniversary, the house released a limited-edition XO Cognac called "Oeuvre d'art," developed in collaboration with a contemporary artist. This release symbolized the brand’s respect for its heritage while embracing creativity and modern expression.
Raymond Bossis Cognac remains an active and thriving producer. It continues to offer a selection of finely crafted Cognacs and Pineau des Charentes, appreciated for their authenticity, elegance, and deep connection to the land and family tradition.
