Painturaud Frères is a distinguished Cognac house located in Segonzac, at the heart of the Grande Champagne, the premier cru of the Cognac region. Established in 1804, the estate faced devastation during the phylloxera crisis of the late 19th century. Undeterred, Hippolyte Painturaud spearheaded its reconstruction, revitalizing the vineyards and distillery.

In 1934, Guy Painturaud, aiming to distinguish their products from larger trading houses, began marketing their Cognacs and Pineaux des Charentes under the name "Painturaud Frères," marking the official birth of the brand. This initiative laid the foundation for the family's enduring legacy in the spirits industry.

Today, the estate spans 40 hectares in the Grande Champagne region, benefiting from its unique terroir to produce exceptional eaux-de-vie. The family emphasizes environmental stewardship, having adopted "culture raisonnée" practices and achieving the Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) certification at level 3, the highest tier.

Utilizing traditional copper Charentais stills and a double distillation process, Painturaud Frères crafts a range of Cognacs, including VSOP, XO, and limited editions like the "Qu4tre," a blend of eaux-de-vie from four generations. Their Pineau des Charentes offerings, both white and rosé, are aged in oak barrels, developing rich flavors over time.

The fourth generation, comprising brothers Jean-Philippe, Vincent, Matthieu, and Emmanuel, continues to uphold the family's commitment to quality and tradition. Visitors to Segonzac can explore the estate, gaining insights into the production process and tasting their esteemed products.
