Levon Cognac is a distinguished producer in the world of fine spirits, celebrated for its commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Located in the heart of the Cognac region, this house stands as a testament to tradition, innovation, and the rich history of the area. With roots deeply embedded in the region’s terroir, Levon Cognac draws from the best vineyards of the Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, and Borderies crus – each known for its unique soil, climate, and influence on the character of the grapes.
The house prides itself on using the finest Ugni Blanc grapes, a variety that is renowned for its ability to retain high acidity and produce eaux-de-vie with exceptional aging potential. These grapes are carefully selected to ensure only the highest-quality juice is used for distillation. Levon Cognac employs a time-honored distillation process, utilizing traditional copper pot stills to preserve the distinct flavors and aromas of the terroir.
Once distilled, the eaux-de-vie are aged in oak barrels, often sourced from the forests of Limousin and Tronçais, which lend the Cognac its complexity and depth. The aging process allows the spirit to develop rich, nuanced flavors, with notes of dried fruit, vanilla, and spice, alongside a smooth and velvety texture. Each bottle of Levon Cognac reflects the careful attention to detail that the house is known for, showcasing a blend of heritage and artistry that is apparent in every sip.
Levon Cognac offers a range of expressions, from youthful offerings to rare and vintage releases that are highly sought after by connoisseurs. The house’s dedication to excellence and its innovative approach to blending ensures that each release is a reflection of both the legacy and the forward-thinking vision of the house. Levon Cognac continues to thrive as a family-owned business, with a deep respect for its roots and an ongoing commitment to creating exceptional spirits. As the Cognac industry evolves, Levon remains a respected name, known for producing fine Cognac that is cherished by collectors and enthusiasts alike. Whether enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in sophisticated cocktails, Levon Cognac is a symbol of refined taste and craftsmanship.
