François Voyer Cognac

François Voyer Cognac is a distinguished family-owned estate situated in the heart of the Grande Champagne region, the premier cru of Cognac. With a heritage spanning over two centuries, the Voyer family has been dedicated to cultivating vineyards and distilling eaux-de-vie, adhering to time-honored traditions that emphasize the unique terroir of their vineyards.

The estate's vineyards encompass approximately 28 hectares, primarily planted with the Ugni Blanc grape variety, renowned for producing refined and elegant eaux-de-vie. These vineyards are located in the villages of Verrières and Ambleville, areas often referred to as the "golden belt" of Grande Champagne due to their exceptional terroir. The chalky soil in this region imparts distinctive characteristics to the grapes, contributing to the depth and complexity of the cognacs produced.

The Voyer family's commitment to quality is evident in their meticulous production process. They employ traditional copper pot stills for double distillation and age their cognacs in French oak barrels, allowing the spirits to develop their signature elegance and complexity over time. This dedication has resulted in a range of acclaimed expressions, including:

François Voyer VSOP Cognac: Aged for a minimum of four years, this cognac offers notes of candied fruits and orange peel, leading to a luscious palate of caramel and apricot with hints of licorice and spice.

François Voyer XO Gold Cognac: A blend of old cognacs aged between 20 to 30 years in oak barrels, this expression showcases exceptional aromatic richness and complexity.

François Voyer Hors d'Age Cognac: Comprising eaux-de-vie aged from 40 to 60 years, this prestigious offering delivers an infinite aromatic richness, reflecting the house's dedication to crafting exceptional spirits.

Throughout its history, François Voyer Cognac has garnered recognition for its unwavering commitment to excellence. The house collaborates with local winemakers, some of whom have been perfecting their craft for generations, ensuring that each bottle embodies the rich heritage and meticulous craftsmanship synonymous with the Voyer name.

Under the direction of Pierre Vaudon, a renowned oenologist and cellar master, François Voyer Cognac continues to thrive, upholding the values of hard work and perfectionism passed down through generations. The estate remains dedicated to producing cognacs that not only honor their storied past but also appeal to contemporary connoisseurs seeking spirits of unparalleled quality and character.
