Fanny Fougerat Cognac represents a contemporary evolution in the traditional world of cognac production. As a fourth-generation distiller, Fanny Fougerat departed from her family's legacy of supplying eaux-de-vie to major cognac houses by establishing her own brand in 2013. Her estate spans 30 hectares, primarily located in the Borderies and Fins Bois crus, where she cultivates Ugni Blanc grapes.
Fougerat's philosophy centers on crafting single-cask, unblended cognacs that express the unique characteristics of each vineyard and harvest. By isolating, vinifying, and distilling parcels separately, she highlights the distinct personality of each terroir, resulting in cognacs that are pure, precise, and reflective of their origin.
The portfolio includes notable expressions such as: Petite Cigüe: A VSOP cognac from the Fins Bois cru, characterized by its fruity, luscious, and tangy profile, offering a generous and approachable tasting experience.
Iris Poivré: An XO cognac sourced from the Borderies cru, known for its pure, distinct, and floral notes, combining finesse with generosity.
Cèdre Blanc: An Extra-Old cognac from the Fins Bois cru, which combines finesse, strength, and freshness, resulting in a rich and enveloping experience.
In addition to cognac, the estate produces Pineau des Charentes, such as the Colibri Charmant, a fresh and silky young Pineau, and the Colibri de Fanny, noted for its red and citrus fruit tension, both designed for convivial enjoyment.
Fanny Fougerat Cognac continues to operate, seamlessly blending heritage with innovation to craft high-quality, terroir-driven spirits that appeal to both traditional enthusiasts and a new generation of cognac appreciators.
