Braastad Cognac

Braastad Cognac is a distinguished brand with deep roots in both Norway and France. The house was established by Sverre Braastad, a Norwegian entrepreneur who moved to the Cognac region in the early 20th century. He married into the Tiffon family, a historic Cognac-producing lineage, and eventually took over the management of the Tiffon estate. This marked the beginning of the Braastad legacy in Cognac production. The house is headquartered in Jarnac, one of the key towns in the Cognac region, where its distillery and cellars are located in the Château de Triac, a property with over 400 years of history.

Braastad Cognac is known for its traditional approach to production, carefully selecting grapes from the region’s finest crus and aging eaux-de-vie in French oak barrels. The house continues to be family-run, ensuring a strong commitment to quality and authenticity. Their portfolio includes a range of expressions, from VS to XO, as well as rare vintage releases and limited editions.

Braastad Cognac remains an active and respected producer, exporting to various international markets, particularly in Scandinavia, where it enjoys strong recognition. The brand is appreciated for its craftsmanship, deep heritage, and dedication to producing high-quality Cognac that honors tradition while embracing modern innovation.
