Balluet Cognac is a family-owned distillery established in 1845, located in Neuvicq-le-Château within the Fins Bois cru of the Cognac region. Spanning 35 hectares of vineyards, Balluet has upheld traditional cognac production methods for generations. The current proprietor, Jean Balluet, continues this legacy, utilizing ancestral copper pot stills to craft their cognacs.
Historically, the Balluet family supplied larger cognac houses with their eaux-de-vie. However, in the mid-20th century, Hippolyte Balluet, Jean's father, chose to bottle and market their own cognac independently, a practice that persists today.
Balluet's product line features a selection of meticulously aged cognacs, including the Très Vieille Réserve Napoléon, crafted from distillations dating back to the late 1970s. This expression exemplifies the distillery's dedication to quality and tradition.
